DuraGarage Cabinets feature powder-coated door and drawer fronts. Powder coating finishes are seamless, so they’re not affected by changes in humidity or temperature. The semi-glossy finish requires no upkeep (other than occasional cleaning) and will keep its good looks indefinitely.
Why do we powder coat doors and drawer fronts?
Powder coating is one of the longest lasting and durable finishes available. We have perfected (and patented) a process of applying powder coating on MDF (medium density fiberboard) that is as durable as metal, looks just as good, is less expensive and is perfect for home use.
Everything is powder coated in-house, so we have full control over the quality and consistency of the finish. All doors and drawer fronts are powder coated in the same batch to ensure a perfect match.
Powder coating on MDF is an environmentally friendly process, and does not require a solvent and contains no heavy metals or VOCs.

DuraGarage Cabinets are available in 48 attractive mix-and-match powder-coated door and melamine box color combinations, so you’re sure to find something to satisfy your taste and decor.
Cabinet doors and drawer fronts are made of high quality MDF and are available in 12 attractive powder-coated colors. Cabinet boxes and shelves are made from 3/4 inch M2 industrial-grade melamine and are available in four colors. You can choose the box and door color combination that works best for you!
Powder coating creates a tough seamless finish that is stain, scratch and UV resistant, and is superior to paint, plastic or laminates. And it looks great!
